Planning to Buy RPA?

Planning to Buy RPA?

License costs for commercial RPA platforms consume a large portion of the total costs for automation in any enterprise. Even more so, many platform vendors in the automation industry have made their licensing structure so complex and pricey that it leads to significant inefficiencies and exhausted automation budgets. It is a challenging exercise for an organization to know the optimal amount of RPA licenses, especially during times of unexpected increase in need and seasonal spikes. Unfortunately, procuring the correct number of licenses for a digital workforce is a downfall most organizations getting started with automation succumb to. What happens is they make the decision to purchase a set amount based on budget, and often forget other important factors like production environment licenses, orchestration tool requirements, types of bots, etc. and then they struggle to reach KPIs with too few licenses or buy too many and don’t utilize them fully. Not using licenses to their full extent is the same as hiring human employees and not assigning them any work, its inefficient and a waste of time and resources.

License optimization is a key area that requires a lot of focus. However, it becomes very difficult when there is a lack of knowledge around the number of processes an organization has and their run frequency. There are a lot of variables to account for when deciding what kind and how many RPA licenses are necessary to meet automation goals. In addition, the need for elasticity to make up for irregular business demands and transaction volumes pose additional challenges. At OpenBots, we solved the licensing problem. Our core on-prem platform components OpenBots Studio, OpenBots Server, and OpenBots Agent are zero bot license fee tools that allow enterprises to build RPA at scale without worrying about exhausting automation budgets, not fully utilizing licenses, and not having enough bandwidth during times of increased volume impacting their RPA ROI. Our zero cost bot licensing structure eliminates the guess work and allows organizations to scale their number of bots freely to match their needs without straining their budget.
