[New Features]

  • OpenBots Server
    • Server UI Improvements
      • Tooltip Adjustments
        • Adjusted tooltips for the Credentials Vault, Email, Integration, Queue, and Schedules components to assist users with new functionality.
      • Back Button
        • The back button will now properly utilize breadcrumbs to return users to the previous page with maintained criteria.
    • Apps (Resource Groups)
      • Entities can now be provisioned into created Apps, which allow for logical segmentation of the Server instance to restrict visibility of resources.
      • Global resources can be utilized by App specific automations, but App specific resources may only be used by automations in that app.
      • Agents will only be able to execute automations visible to them per the above policy.
    • OpenBots Business Center (Public Preview)
      • The OpenBots Business Center is now available for public preview and can be accessed through the Cloud Server user interface.
      • This new product supports several key pieces of functionality, including human-in-the-loop processing support and the ability to host custom sites/forms.
      • Users can create work queues and goals to define a process and populate work items to be handled by business users.
      • Work items can be viewed in a variety of different formats, sorted based on parameters such as their status.
      • Work items can be both bulk-edited and bulk-assigned to business users.
      • Currently there are three major types of work items:
        • A task, which represents an action performed by a business user and asserted as completed.
        • An approval, which represents a binary decision as to whether the item is Approved or Rejected.
      • Each work item contains a set of comments, an audit trail, and attachments.
      • Work Goals can be associated to schedules to allow for the creation of automation jobs to resume processing. They can also be associated to Queues to create queue items for completed work items, allowing the triggering of automations and final processing.
      • Work Queues allow users to group a set of work items to be completed.
      • Users can create custom sites in the Business Center, which can restrict access to authenticated users, or be accessed publicly.
      • Forms hosted on these sites are designed using Form.IO; a powerful engine for form design that is very feature rich.
      • Input from these forms can be utilized for automation processing through created queue items.
    • Alerts
      • Added the Alerts component to the Server, which allows for the viewing of critical messages registered by automations during their execution.
      • This component will be expanded to receive additional alerts related to Server components and billing.
    • Queue Updates
      • Support for Encryption
        • Queue items can now have their payload and all attached files encrypted to maintain data security through the AddQueueItem Studio command.
      • Added the ability to bulk-delete queue items.
      • In-Progress queue items can now be postponed through the provided Studio command.
      • Queue Items can now be searched for by their assigned name.
      • Failed Queue Items can now be reset to a “New” status for re-processing.
      • The Results parameter of Queue Items can now be set during processing to store an output.
    • Job Updates
      • Added the ability to view the logs of job checkpoints in the Server UI.
      • Abandoned Jobs will now have their end time set according to the last reported execution time of the process.
      • A job will now be abandoned if the Agent that was executing it begins executing another job.
      • Users can now “Kill” a job by selecting the appropriate action, which will result in a cancelled execution on the Agent.
    • Schedule Updates
      • Added the ability to define a “Stop After” parameter on schedules, which will set the job to “Stopping” after this period.
      • The display for schedule parameters has been adjusted to be significantly more user-friendly when there are many parameters.
    • Automation Log Images
      • Added the ability to attach images to Automation Logs for display in the Server UI. This will allow for the embedding of key screenshots for debugging purposes.
    • Distributed Locks
      • Added a component that allows for the usage and management of distributed locks, which can be utilized to coordinate Agents through their acquisition and release.
    • Credential Policies
      • Credential Policy
        • A credential policy can now be defined for the organization, restricting all credentials to contain a minimum and maximum length, and allowing for several character type restrictions.
      • Credential Generation
        • Credentials can now be automatically generated using the organization’s credential policy.
    • Miscellaneous Adjustments
      • Queues, Schedules, and Assets can now be exported to Excel files.
      • Agent specific assets/credentials will now be displayed with a table of values in the details page.
      • Agents no longer require a set of linked OS Credentials, and the currently logged in user of the machine can be utilized for attended execution.
      • Description fields will now allow for punctuation.
      • Files and folders can now be deleted in bulk in the File Manager.
      • Non-empty folders can now be deleted with their contents.
      • Email Settings now allow for the allowance/blocking of all domains through explicit settings.
      • Storage drives can now be linked a physical path that is external to the Server install directory.
      • Automation Logs have undergone significant refactors with improved overall performance.
      • Automation logs can now be sent to external sources such as ElasticSearch and Splunk through the adjustment of the provided appsettings file.
[Fixes]
  • OpenBots Server
    • Significantly improved the overall loading time of Automation Logs.
    • Resolved an issue preventing the exporting of Abandoned Jobs.
    • The global file asset will no longer be updated when adding an Agent specific file asset value.
    • Corrected issues with the Automation Logs level filter.
    • The Add Queue Item screen will now persist the selected queue at entry time.
    • Queue items pagination filters will now maintain across navigation.
    • Removed the restriction excluding spaces in Credential naming.
    • Abandoned jobs will no longer count as ongoing jobs for the max-job calculation.
    • Corrected an error message related to max-job settings in schedules.
    • The notification for job parameters will no longer display for jobs with no attached schedule parameters.
    • Corrected an issue that occasionally resulting in trial organizations being blocked from execution.
    • Corrected a reported issue with the setting of execution parameters from schedule parameters.
    • Billing information for the current organization will now display as expected in the Server interface.
    • The number of days remaining in the user’s trial will now display as expected.
    • Corrected an issue that resulted in QueueArrival Schedules creating a job when updated if the linked queue contained items.
    • Corrected an error that occurred when attempting to add an item to a queue linked with an expired Queue Arrival Schedule.
    • Corrected an issue that resulted in the High-Density Agent setting not being persisted.
    • orrected reported issues with the population of the “Integration Event” dropdown.
    • Corrected reported issues with mMulti-delete functionality for Agents and Automations with dependent entities.
    • Corrected reported issues with searching for specific Agents in the Cloud Server.
    • Adjusted timeout for Cloud Server authentication tokens to increase time before logout.
    • Corrected reported issues with the population of the “Add Event Subscription” dropdown.
